Camaro Domination at Bristol | CamaroStoreOnline.com Camaro Race Recap
The Chevrolet Camaro made a statement at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 21, with a performance that left no doubt about its dominance. Between drivers Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman, the Camaro led 496 of the race’s 500 laps.
At the heart of this commanding effort by Team Chevy was Kyle Larson, who led an impressive 462 laps—a new Hendrick Motorsports record. Bowman, who started from the pole, held the lead for 34 laps before Larson took over on Lap 35. From there, Larson never looked back, only briefly giving up the top spot during caution flag pit stop cycles. His commanding performance delivered yet another victory for Camaro, marking the car's 15th win of the season.
All five Chevrolet Camaro entries advanced to the next round of the NASCAR Playoffs, known as the "Round of 12." Here’s how they finished at Bristol:
- #5 Larson - 1st
- #9 Elliott - 2nd
- #48 Bowman - 7th
- #24 Byron - 13th
- #99 Suarez - 30th
Up next, the series moves to Kansas, where Kyle Larson looks to carry his momentum into another victory. Larson won at Kansas earlier this year, and a win this visit would secure his spot in the "Round of 8."
