🔎 How To Check Your Car — Model Year Matters
GM changed the front brakes for the 1998 model year when the Camaro was facelifted, so a 1997 car takes a different cover from a 1998 car even though both are 4th generation.
- 1998–2002 on 17” or larger wheels → this is your set
- 1997 on 17” or larger wheels → you need part 14026
The 1998 facelift is easy to spot: the earlier cars have exposed pop-up headlights and a rounded nose, while 1998 and later have fixed composite headlights and a wider grille opening.

– 1993–1997 Camaro
– Cars running wheels smaller than 17”
– Any 5th or 6th generation Camaro
