Sizing Charts
How to measure, what our general US sizing looks like, and how to get a straight answer on any specific item before you order.
We carry apparel from a lot of different manufacturers, and they do not all size the same way. A large from one brand is not always a large from another — so treat the general chart below as a starting point, not a guarantee. Wherever an individual product has its own sizing chart on its product page, that chart is the one to follow. It comes from the people who actually made the garment.
How to Measure
Two minutes with a soft tape measure will save you a return.

Men's Chest Measure around the fullest part of your chest, beneath the armpits, keeping the tape level all the way around your back. Don't pull it tight — it should sit snug against the body without compressing. |
Ladies' Bust Measure around the fullest part of the bust, under the arms, with your arms relaxed at your sides. Keep the tape level across the back and don't hold your breath. |
The Shortcut Measure a Shirt You Own Often more reliable than measuring yourself. Lay a shirt that fits the way you like flat and smooth, measure across the chest one inch below the armholes, and double that number to compare against a garment chest measurement. |
General US Sizing
A broad guide to standard American apparel sizing — useful for most tees, polos, and sweatshirts.
These are body measurements in inches, not garment measurements. If your measurement falls between two sizes, or lands right on the boundary between them, we'd size up — particularly for anything you plan to wear over another layer.
Men's
Chest, measured around the body beneath the armpit.

A Few Honest Caveats
Ladies' cuts are shaped differently from unisex cuts, so a ladies' large and a unisex large are not the same garment. Outerwear and sweatshirts generally run more generous than tees. And every manufacturer draws these lines slightly differently, which is why the chart on the product page always wins over this one.
Hawaiian Shirts
Loose, relaxed fit — and sized differently from everything above.

Our Hawaiian shirts run large. Many customers find they need to size down. When in doubt, size down.
The measurements below are garment measurements, not body measurements — they describe the shirt itself. Don't compare them against your chest measurement. Compare them against a button-down shirt you already own and like the fit of.
Flat-Lay Method
Do not measure your body. Lay a favorite button-down shirt flat and smooth it out before measuring.
- Length — highest shoulder point down to the bottom hem.
- Chest — one inch below the armholes, seam to seam. Double that flat width before comparing it to the chest figure in the chart.
- Shoulder — shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back.
- Sleeve — shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.

Fabric: 100% woven polyester. Stretch: none — the fabric will not give, so go by the measurements. Fit: relaxed.
